Portsmouth v Cardiff City - FA Cup Final

Half-time: The teams go in level at the break in what is a surprisingly entertaining game at a baking hot Wembley. After Everton's record-breaking opening goal it has been mostly Chelsea with Florent Malouda in particular giving Tony Hibbert a torrid time down the left wing.

21 minute: Malouda puts in an inviting cross and Didier Drogba outjumps a static Everton defence to bury a header past Howard and equalise for Chelsea.

1 minute: Louis Saha opens the scoring after 26 seconds to put underdogs Everton 1-0 up against Chelsea and send the blue half of Merseyside wild with delight. It is the quickest goal in FA Cup final history.

Teams:

Chelsea: Cech, Bosingwa, Alex, Terry, Ashley Cole, Essien, Mikel, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Malouda.

Subs: Hilario, Ivanovic, Di Santo, Ballack, Kalou, Belletti, Mancienne.

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Yobo, Lescott, Baines, Osman, Neville, Pienaar, Cahill, Fellaini, Saha.

Subs: Nash, Castillo, Vaughan, Jacobsen, Rodwell, Gosling, Baxter.

FA Cup Preview

Louis Saha appears in his first FA Cup final in five attempts as Everton bid for their first trophy for 14 years in their clash with Chelsea at Wembley.

Manager David Moyes opts for experience over youth with French striker Saha starting after missing out on one final with Newcastle, three with Manchester United and one World Cup final with France due to suspensions and injuries.

It means teenager Jack Rodwell has to be satisfied with a place on the bench.

Otherwise the Everton side is as expected, with record signing Marouane Fellaini playing in a withdrawn attacking role behind Saha and Tim Cahill reverting to central midfield.

For his last match as Chelsea boss, Guus Hiddink selected his expected line-up, which had Michael Ballack on the bench.

The match gave England full-back Ashley Cole the chance to claim his fifth winner's medal and become the first player to achieve such a haul in over 100 years.
