ANDEN KADHALAI, a remake of Bollywood blockbuster Jab We Met (2007) starring Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor, is going to bring the flavour of chirpiness of the leading lady that swept through the bollywood industry a couple of years back. In the Tamil version, Kareena has been replaced by Tamanna and Shahid has been replaced by Bharath. While Jab We Met was set in Mumbai, Shimla and Bhatinda, the remake will take us through rural Tamil Nadu.

She is a very talkative character, very energetic. The challenging part is going to be that exuberance and the kind of energy that Kareena brought into this character. I hope I can do justice to it as well.

From the day I signed the film, I’ve been getting good responses. They have just been waiting for the film to release. I’m very excited. We’re trying to change the backdrop totally to Theni.
