IIT-JEE Results declared; Nitin Jain from Delhi is the Topper



The IIT-JEE Examination results have been declared this morning. As the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-2009) results for the ITTs are out, there will be a mad rush for the admission into the Engineering courses in 15 IITs, IT-BHU and ISMU, Dhanbad. Nitin Jain, who appeared in JEE-2009 for IIT Delhi Zone, has emerged as the All India Topper. Shubham Tulsiani from IIT Bombay Zone, came second, while Gopi Sivakanth from IIT Madras, finished third in the All India Rankings.

Deepak Vashist, who got 33rd rank, topped the IIT Roorkee Zone. Avardeep Bhowmik, who got 34th rank, topped the IIT Guwahati Zone. Kritika Singh (56th) topped the IIT Kanpur Zone, while Gaurav Lulu (87th) tooped the IIT Kharagpur Zone. Kritika Singh is the topper among the girls. In total, 3,84,977 candidates had appeared for the IIT-JEE 2009. Out of them, 10,035 candidates have qualified to seek admission for 8,295 seats. The successful candidates can take admissions in all 15 IITs at Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Guwahati, Indore, Kanpur, Roorkee, Kharagpur, Bhubaneswar, Mandi, Patna, Punjab, Rajasthan, Hyderabad and Gandhinagar. They can also seek admission in IT-BHU Varanasi and ISMU Dhanbad.
