Fabregas and the Barca love affair

Cesc Fabregas' future at Arsenal has once again been shrouded in doubt after he declared his utter admiration for Barcelona.

Arsenal lured Fabregas away from Barcelona as a teenager after he came through the Catalan club's youth ranks.

The 22-year-old has since gone on to establish himself as one of the best young midfielders in Europe and a host of clubs have been credited with an interest in his services.

Fabregas has been continually linked with a return to his native Spain with both Barcelona and Real Madrid keen on signing him, a rumour that is sure to gain pace after his latest revelations.

"Which player would not like to play for a team like that at the moment?" he declared after watching Barca claim the Champions League, Primera Liga and Copa del Rey trophies this season.

"They are probably the best team that I have seen play in history and I have a lot friends there who are always telling me great things."

The Spain international also took time out to praise Barca striker Thierry Henry, claiming that he was envious of the Frenchman who moved to Spain from Arsenal.

"Of course, you feel envy in a healthy way because of the way they play football," Fabregas said of his former Gunners teammate.

"Everyone's dream would be to play in a team like this."

"He had a difficult year adapting and this year he came into his own. (Barça boss Pep) Guardiola showed faith in him. Now Henry has everything and I do not know if there are many players that can equal his honours list."
